The black steel construction visible from the outside form the rule for the infill of sandwich panels and glazed aluminium frames.
The two volumes tied together by a black tarmac will form a strong and sober impact on its surroundings along the highway on the one side and the water of the Haarrijnse Plas on the other side.
Within these two volumes 11 units give space to small businesses. Access to the ground floor is given by a sectional door and will be used as a drive-in storage space.
The first floor contains a pantry and a freely configurable floor plan. The second floor provides most light and is likely to be used as office space.
Final-users wishes made the facades of the first and second floor more open and less fixed into a strict set-up rythm.
